The Laurier-Ottawa game went the way most of us figured except that Ottawa led until mid-way thru the second period. But as we have seen most of this year, the Gee-Gees fold in the third period.

Good to see Ottawa goalie Jess Audet play well after getting pulled in game one of the QSSF final.

Shelley Coolidge can't be happy with the way her defence got caught all night. It seemed Laurier had more breakways than Ottawa had shots.

And this is why Manitoba should not have had to play McGill in Pool A. The Bisons gave the Martlets all they could handle and on the strength of an overtime power play goal, the best Manitoba can hope for is a fourth straight trip to the bronze medal game.

You have to make the call as Bettez was hauled down on the partial break but didn't think the extra minor was needed. McGill made sure it didn't come into play anyways.

Manitoba coach Jon Rembel will have to do his best coaching job of the season to prepare his team to play St. Fx on Friday night after this disapointing loss.
