Update on Kevin Kwasny's condition

LENNOXVILLE, Que. - This is an update on the condition of Bishop's Gaiters defensive lineman Kevin Kwasny, who was taken to hospital on Saturday.
Kwasny, 21, a Winnipeg native who is in his fourth year with the Gaiters (third year of CIS eligibility), showed signs of discomfort in the locker room during halftime of Saturday's football game, and was immediately taken to the Centre Hospitalier de l'Universite de Sherbrooke (CHUS), the Sherbrooke university hospital. He underwent an operation on Saturday night for a subdural hematoma. The operation was to relieve swelling on his brain.
He remains in critical but stable condition at CHUS.
The Gaiters football team is thankful for the quick and excellent care provided by the team's training staff, the ambulance service and CHUS Fleurimont.
