What Internet Company to use?

I would like to tell you that Internet is ubiquitous in speed, reliability, and how each company treats you. Unfortunately that is not the case. Here we will look at service that we use on the administration side, as well as comments that we have from our viewers about their providers and how the games look to them on their Internet connection.
We will add names of providers to this list as they become available.
Rogers Communications: Customer: Myself, Bengt Neathery, Dir. Business Development for SSNCanada Service: For now, disputed 'Ultimate' service from Rogers Speed: (Disputed) 50 Mb/s download, 2 Mb/s upload Cost: $99 monthly approximately Cap: 175 GB
Good: Great speed - if you're getting it. I spent several hours on 3 occasions with Rogers technical services. One occasion I was bounced to 3 different (incorrect) departments before having to hang up to go to dinner (I thought 45 minutes would have been enough time..) At the end of the day I had to go to a Rogers outlet and return my SMC modem that they gave to me, after only one month of 'service' where my speed dropped at one point to under 1 Mb/s. I understand they can't guarantee a full 50 Mb/s, but come on..
Bad: After all of my trouble, I was offered half of my money back. Sounds good right? Wrong. There are too many choices out there, and when I pay that much money plus the questionable amount of money I pay for television ($65/mo) I think a full refund is deserved.
Analysis: Again, good speed if you're getting it, customer service while polite, obviously hasn't gotten past where it was several years ago when I last threw up my arms with them.
NEWS: Rogers has stepped up. One of their senior people have had a look at this and given me not only the first month refund I had asked for initially, but a full 3 month refund. What can I say.. this goes far beyond expectations to really show me that they care for my business.
Which is what you want from your Internet provider, and is rare in the Canadian monopolies.

It is hard to get good service when you fall a bit outside of the norm. And the talk of UBB (User Based Billing) scares me, it will make it less likely to watch all the video that I want, like watching my daughter play.
